IgG Food Sensitivity Test

The IgG test is a food antibody assessment designed to identify food sensitivities. It is important to understand the difference between food allergy and food sensitivity. A food allergy is an onset that is rapid within minutes. It is driven by chemicals called histamines and the immune system’s response is IgE. A food sensitivity or intolerance has an onset that is delayed, sometimes up to several days, and is controlled by proteins of the immune system. This is tested by looking at IgG responses.
