Slow Cooker Bone Broth
Ingredients
- 3-5 lbs beef bones
- 1 large onion quartered
- 2 large carrots cut into 2-3" pieces
- 1 green bell pepper quartered
- 1 red bell pepper quartered
- 3 stalks cellery cut into 2-3" pieces
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbs apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into large slow cooker pot.
- Fill with water to just cover all ingredients.
- Cover pot with lid and turn slow cooker to high.
- Once it starts to boil, turn to low and leave for 7 hours+
- Cook for at least a total of 8 hours, but the longer you cook it, the better! Cook up to 24 hours.
- Let cool and strain liquid into another pot. Discard all bones and vegetables, but keep any of the meat if you choose to.
- Pour broth into containers and place into refrigerator. When you go use a container of broth, scrap and solidified fat from the top.
- Add salt, pepper or any other spices to flavor. Enjoy!
