In a small mixing bowl, add garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, black pepper and 1/2 tsp of salt. Mix well.
Rub chicken thighs with spice mixture. If there is skin on the chicken, you can either remove or make sure to rub spices underneath the skin.
The longer you let it sit, the better. Helps flavor the chicken!
Heat barbeque grill to medium heat. Place chicken on the grill once it is heated up.
Grill for about 2 minutes to sear one side, flip and grill for about 8-10 minutes. Flip chicken to the original side and grill for about 8 minutes, or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. (cook time will vary depending on grill and thickness of chicken)
While chicken is cooking, in a large mixing bowl, stir together pineapple, corn, bell pepper, basil, onion, vinegar and remaining salt.
Serve relish over grilled chicken.
