Fact #1

You might be a fisherman if:
You think MEGABYTES means a great day fishing.

Fat cells may play an important role in mediating the anti-obesity effects of omega-3 fish oils, according to a new scientific review. This suggests that omega-3 fatty acids promote changes in adipose tissue metabolism, which may bring about alterations in cellular signaling and secretion, leading to improvements in glucose and lipid metabolism.

Additionally, the study mentions that, ”fish oil improves several features of metabolic syndrome, such as dyslipidemia, insulin resistance and hepatic steatosis.”

THE GREATEST WEIGHT-LOSS SECRET OF ALL-TIME: THERE IS A NEW DIET THAT WILL FINALLY HELP MILLIONS OF AMERICANS TO LOSE WEIGHT: THE HIGH PRICE OF FOOD.

A recent study found that test participants who ingested a vitamin D fortified yogurt drink experienced a significant improvement in blood sugar levels, waist circumference and body mass, compared to those who ingested only the plain yogurt. Please link to Vitamin D Supreme.

In another unrelated study, a correlation between vitamin D and gastrointestinal homeostasis was established. The association appears to involve a relationship with signaling between the natural occurring flora found in the GI tract, the host and the vitamin D pathway.

The 5 Definitive Signs of PMS are:
1. Everyone around you has an attitude problem.
2. You’re adding chocolate chips to your cheese omelet.
3. The dryer has shrunk every last pair of your jeans.
4. Your husband is suddenly agreeing to everything you say.
5. You’re convinced there’s a God and he’s male.

A mixture of essential fatty acids (EFAs) was shown to significantly improve the symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome.

Only two EFAs are known to be crucial for human health: alpha-linolenic acid which is an omega-3 fatty acid and linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. Other fatty acids that are only considered to be “conditionally essential” include gamma-linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid, lauric acid which is a saturated fatty acid, and palmitoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid.

Fact #5

An antioxidant supreme.

Recent research revealed that moderate circulating levels of coenzyme Q10 appear to be associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer. The authors point out that “the findings were weak and not statistically significant.” That said, the scientists go on to say that this was the first such study conducted and that additional research is warranted and needed.
