Chocolate Almond Butter Smoothie

Add the following ingredients into a blender and blend to your desired consistency.

10-12 oz. of Coconut or Almond Milk

Coconut and almond milk are great alternatives to dairy and soy milk. Dairy is very common food sensitivity and soy may also increase the risk of hypothyroidism.

1 Banana

Bananas are a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin c potassium & magnesium. They are also a very good source of vitamin b6. Using bananas in these smoothies adds flavor, nutrients and also makes the consistency a little creamier.

2 tbsp Almond Butter

Adds an amazing flavor and has a beautiful combination of fiber and protein that help you stay full longer. If you can, use an organic and low sugar almond butter. If you were looking for more sweetness, I would recommend using a little honey.

1 Scoop PaleoProtein Chocolate

In my practice, I recommend my patients us a clean pea or hydrobeef protein. When I say “clean”, I mean you should look for a protein that does not have a lot of filler ingredients that take away from the quality. Ask yourself, “do I know what all of these ingredients are?”
