Results: You likely suffer from low testosterone

Thank you for taking our Testosterone Quiz!

By restoring your testosterone levels, you will not only reap the manly benefits of increasing your virility and sexual function, but you will also dramatically increase your resistance to almost all age-related diseases including heart attack, stroke, dementia, obesity and reduce your risk of osteoporosis, bone fractures, chronic pain, and depression. On top of that, you will likely improve your cholesterol and triglyceride scores, blood pressure, body mass index, muscle tone, skin condition and memory.

Testosterone is so much more than a sex hormone.

There are a few things you can do immediately to stop the decline in your testosterone levels including:

  • Reduce carbohydrate and sugar consumption – carbs and sugar turn to fat and fat sucks the testosterone out of your system.
  • Increase your exercise levels but don’t overdo it – moderate cardiovascular exercise 5 or 6 days per week is ideal.
  • Do not take opioid-based painkillers, they are powerful hormone disruptors.
  • Find time for adequate sleep – testosterone is produced during deep sleep and sleep deprivation leads to testosterone depletion.

Next, consult with your doctor. A physical exam can sometimes find an easy solution to the problem, and if necessary testosterone replacement therapy is safe if done correctly and is a widely used treatment for low testosterone.

If you undertake testosterone replacement therapy, be sure your doctor administers the testosterone via intramuscular, transdermal or by pellet – testosterone should never be taken orally.  Ask for testosterone cypionate or propionate rather than synthetic testosterone which is not as safe or effective. You also want the lowest effective dose. If your physician is not familiar with the safest and most beneficial methods for testosterone therapy, or suggests oral application, find another doctor.
