Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground bison
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 Orange bell pepper chopped
  • 1 large yellow onion chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatos
  • 1 28 oz can kidney beans strained
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbs cumin
  • 3 tbs chili powder
  • 2 tbs cocoa powder
  • 1 28 oz can diced tomatos
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbs olive oil

Instructions

  • Heat large pan over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and pork and cook until it's almost finished.
  • Drain liquid, and return to pan.
  • Add garlic, onion and peppers.
  • Add oregano, worcestershire, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper.
  • Cook until meat is finished.
  • Add kidney beans, canned tomatoes, cocoa powder and stir.
  • Bring to a boil and turn to low.
  • Let simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

If you would like to add some heat to this recipe, add a diced jalapeno and a habanero when you are adding the garlic and onion.
